Description
"Shrieker"
Scientific Name: Caederus Mexicana
Length: 4 feet
Height: 3 feet
Diet: Omnivore; Will eat anything from meat to MRE's
Shriekers are the second stage of a Graboid's life cycle. Unlike their worm-like brethren, Shriekers mostly represent bipedal dinosaurs or flightless birds. Also instead of living underground they live above.
Shriekers are known for their names for the sound they make. While lacking eyes and being deaf they make up for it by sensing infrared heat from the organ on the top of their skulls. Once sensing heat they give off a loud but warm-breathed shriek which acts as an alarm.
Unlike Graboids, Shriekers are pack hunters. They rely on their numbers to take down or chase down prey. They even use teamwork to reach prey at high places.
Like Graboids, Shriekers are hermaphrodites. But they can reproduce at an alarming rate. If a Shrieker eats enough food they give "birth" to another Shrieker. Which in terms is expelled out of the mouth.
Like the Graboid, Shriekers have tongues. But unlike the triple tentacle-like tongues, Shriekers only have one. This makes use for if they taste a non-heated object to their liking they'll consume that said object.
When a Shrieker is about to go into their next stage of the life cycle they start to shed a husk. This said husk is like that of a cicada or a dragonfly. Once shed the Shrieker enters its 3rd and final stage, the Assblaster.

I demand a video game based on the franchise and will happily play it to death.
